The 28th Asia-Pacific Social Work Conference was successfully concluded in Sri Lanka.
Conference theme is "Role of
the social workers response to climate change and other environment
issues."
The conference was held from the 18th to the 21st of November 2025,
with the inauguration ceremony taking place at the
Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, and the
concurrent scientific sessions held at the Taj Samudra
Hotel, Colombo,Sri Lanka.
I am deeply grateful to the International Federation of Social Work
– Asia Pacific (IFSW-AP), and the Asian and Pacific
Association for Social Work Education(APASWE)for their support in
making this event a success.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the National
Institute of Social Development of Sri Lanka for their
cooperation.
The Sri Lanka Association of Professional Social Workers played a
significant role in coordinating all these
institutions and contributing immensely to the success of
this conference.
