The 28th Asia-Pacific Social Work Conference was successfully concluded in Sri Lanka.

Conference theme is "Role of the social workers response to climate change and other environment issues."

The conference was held from the 18th to the 21st of November 2025, with the inauguration ceremony taking place at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, and the concurrent scientific sessions held at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo,Sri Lanka.

I am deeply grateful to the International Federation of Social Work – Asia Pacific (IFSW-AP), and the Asian and Pacific Association for Social Work Education(APASWE)for their support in making this event a success.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the National Institute of Social Development of Sri Lanka for their cooperation. The Sri Lanka Association of Professional Social Workers played a significant role in coordinating all these institutions and contributing immensely to the success of this conference.
